According to EU regulations in the field, the CO2 emissions and fuel consumption of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles are also verified during the period in which they are in circulation (In Service Verification – ISV).
The tests have the main purpose of verifying the CO2 emissions and fuel consumption values recorded in the certificates of conformity for vehicles in circulation.
At the same time, the presence of any strategies that artificially improve the vehicle’s performance is checked in the context of tests performed for the purpose of type approval. RAR publishes the results of ISV checks annually.
